Do crystals have an expiration date?

I had originally posted this article a few days ago under a different title but it felt all wrong. Now I’ve revised it and it finally feels more like the message that I was meant to deliver. πŸ’šπŸ˜Š

When I work with crystals, I find that they sometimes have a shelf life or expiration date with me. While I do practice regular cleansing in sea salt water, soaking up the energy of the sun and/or Full Moon, inevitably there’s always a few that end up needing to be somewhere else or with someone else.

A prime example happened while I was out walking over the weekend. As I approached this bridge I had the sudden urge to dump the crystal that I was wearing into the water below.

This particular stone was one I’ve worn on and off since around the 2012 timeframe…highly symbolic since we are currently detaching from that timeline. I’ve cleansed it multiple times because it was a stone I used for grounding and protection. It had a shiny silver color to it which helped to deflect energy back to it’s original sender, much like a mirror does.

So I walked over to the side of the bridge, held it in my hand and threw it in. I also asked that the energy from that stone be transmuted into pink unconditional loving light so that everyone that passed over that bridge and beyond could receive it. I then continued on my walk and actually I felt rather relieved.

On my way back I stopped at the bridge and took a couple of photos of it and went on my way. But then I looked at the photos I took and was surprised to see the three faces in the water 😳 This is more confirmation that we are completely releasing from our past and letting go of what was.

All of that energy that this stone had picked up in the last eight years had finally been released into the natural water where it gets transmuted and healing occurs. A clear indication that it was time to go.

This happens to me when I use crystals. Sometimes they get released into the water. I recall leaving a stone or two in the Gulf of Mexico when I lived in South Florida. Other times I’m to give them away to people that I feel guided to give them to.

So if you dabble in crystals and you’re feeling the urge to do something with one of them…do it with no questions asked. Crystals aren’t always meant to stay with us so let them go knowing that it’s in the best interest of everyone involved.

Perhaps your light and energy that you’ve poured into the crystal is needed by the person that you give it to. Or perhaps the location that you’re in needs that light and energy. Just as the people in the area of that bridge will receive exactly what they need from the light of the stone I threw in. Either way know that you’re contributing to the overall plan.

I did purchase a new crystal which had more to do with activating and aligning than it did for grounding and protection. As you can see, there is clearly a new direction taking place for all of us and for the journeys we are headed on.

Your crystal has an expiration date when you feel the need to let go of it or if you lose one. It’s because it needs a new home as someone or some place needs it more than you do. Trust and follow your instincts as to the details of how it needs to be released.

Crystals are ours for a reason, a season or a lifetime. But it’s up to the Universe to decide who, what, when and where as they work through us to get the job done.πŸ’—πŸŒŸ
