So this happened…the article I posted said “MERCY Retrograde” instead of Mercury. I did not notice it until just now π³π. I have since corrected it.
According to Merriam-Webster, the definition of mercy is as follows:
“compassion or forbearance shown especially to an offender or to one subject to one’s power; a blessing that is an act of divine favor or compassion; compassionate treatment of those in distress“
How funny that I mentioned that Mercury Retrograde was showing us where we have given our power away. I’m sure this was no coincidence as we all need to have more compassion not only towards ourselves especially when we think we’ve done something “wrong”, but also towards others who are struggling.
We must try to understand that everyone walking this Earth has a plan that they are following for their journey. Just because their life looks very different from our own, and their opinions may be vastly different from ours, doesn’t mean that we should judge them.
Having compassion means being sympathetic towards others while having a desire within to assist in some way. Compassion is a feeling that you connect with…it’s something you can feel because it connects to your heart.
Like a baby bluejay that I encountered today. When I saw him, my compassion instincts immediately kicked in as he was just sitting on the sidewalk sleeping.
I also recall a prayer from my Catholic church days saying, “Lord have mercy, Christ have mercy, Lord have mercy“. If you think about it, there is forgiveness at the core when you ask for mercy.
So perhaps Mercury Retrograde will also offer us some mercy by showing us the way through compassion and forgiveness as we attempt to create balance in our lives and ultimately in the world.

No worries my friend, you’re perfectly imperfect! Like the rest of us. Two stand outs for me in this post are your Catholic experience (I was raised Cayholic and attended parochial school) and one of my spirit guides is a blue jay. It’s actually my Nana who passed over 14 years ago. She shows up as either a butterfly or a blue jayπ

Blujays are very vocal animals as you’ll see in my next post. It’s interesting that we have similar upbringings and have grandparents that have played significant roles even from the other side. π

Yes my dear, that’s how it works…we attract each other. In this past year I have brought in so many women who I feel immediately kindred toπ I love itπ
